BUILT AROUND THE DETAILS PLAYERS ACTUALLY FEEL.

Final Third Labs creates practical soccer equipment by paying attention to the fit,
movement and comfort problems that are easy to overlook—
but hard to ignore once the game starts.

THE PROBLEM

GEAR SHOULD STAY OUT OF THE WAY.

Too often, players are expected to adapt to their equipment.

Shin guards can feel larger than necessary, slide or rotate during movement, pinch against the leg and make coverage difficult to judge before buying.

Final Third Labs began with a simple question:

What if these familiar problems were treated as design inputs instead of accepted as normal?

TOO MUCH BULK

More material does not always create a better experience. Equipment should provide its intended function without becoming an unnecessary distraction.

FIT THAT CHANGES IN MOTION

A guard may appear secure while the player is standing still, then slide, rotate or pinch once the player starts moving.

UNCLEAR SIZE AND COVERAGE

A size label means very little if the player cannot understand the actual dimensions, fit and level of coverage before making a decision.

Four-stage product evaluation process: check the fit, test movement, compare dimensions and coverage, then refine the design.

OUR APPROACH

OBSERVE. TEST. REFINE.

A product can look right while standing still and fail the moment the player bends, runs, changes direction or kicks.

That is why Final Third Labs evaluates equipment in motion, compares different dimensions and levels of coverage, and pays close attention to where fit becomes uncomfortable or unstable.

Every adjustment should have a purpose: reduce unnecessary interference, make product choices clearer and help the equipment work naturally with the player.

01 — FIT

Check positioning, pressure, knee clearance and ankle clearance.

02 — MOVE

Bend, jog, change direction and perform a natural kicking motion.

03 — COMPARE

Evaluate different dimensions, profiles and levels of coverage.

04 — REFINE

Keep the details that improve the experience. Remove the ones that do not.

WHAT GUIDES US

PRACTICAL BY DESIGN.

01 — FOCUSED FUNCTION

Every product detail should solve a real problem or serve a clear purpose.

02 — CLEARER CHOICES

Players should understand dimensions, coverage and tradeoffs before making a purchase.

03 — HONEST PRODUCTS

We explain what a product does, who it is for and what the player gives up when choosing one option over another.

Four MiniGuard sizes arranged from smallest to largest: M 8 × 5 cm, L 10 × 6 cm, XL 11 × 6 cm and 2X 12 × 8 cm.

OUR FIRST PRODUCT

MINIGUARD STARTED WITH A SMALLER QUESTION.

How much guard does a player actually want beneath the sock?

MiniGuard is our first answer: compact shin guards created for players who prefer a lower-profile feel and are comfortable choosing less surface coverage than a traditional full-size guard.

Its four dimensions allow players to make that tradeoff deliberately—choosing a smaller size for the most minimal profile or moving up for increased coverage.

MiniGuard is not intended to be the only way to wear shin guards. It is a more focused option for players whose priorities match its design.

WHAT’S NEXT

THE LAB GOES BEYOND ONE PRODUCT.

MiniGuard is the starting point.

Final Third Labs is building toward a broader line of practical soccer equipment shaped by real use, clearer decisions and a focused point of view.

We are not interested in adding more gear simply for the sake of having more products.

We want to create the pieces players reach for because they work.

UP THE ANTE.
